Sharing a room!
April 27, 2014 in Design Dilemma
i share a room with my older sister who is 20 (she is not considering moving out) and im 14. I hate having a medium sized room where i can only have two walls for my bed, wardrobe and draws. I really need my own space and privacy because i dont exactly get along with my sister anyway, making the situation worse :( what should i do??

You don't say how large your room is or have photos posted so these are just ideas. I'm sure your sister is looking for a little privacy too in the space. Take a look at some of these and show us your actual room with photos for something specific to your room. Make sure your mother or other adult in the family is involved too.

Make sure you check with your parents first, but it's possible to take a curtain rod normally used for windows and put it on the ceiling instead. Then find a curtain you both like and use it to give yourselves some privacy. You can also search Pinterest or Houzz for 'studio apartment privacy ideas,' that may give you some more inspiration. Good luck!
