Kitchen Counters: Slate countertops vs Granite vs Caesarstone..
April 29, 2014 in Design Dilemma
I am trying to decide between Slate, Granite, and Caesarstone countertops in a kitchen. What are some pros and cons to each.. I've heard slate is amazing and much less expensive. Is this true? Anything in particular to be aware of for either option? TIA

I am also currently looking. This is what I have found. Travertine is beautiful but is soft. Not especially the best for kitchens. Caesar stone is beautiful, durable and expensive. Granite is durable, beautiful and can be very reasonable to very expensive. I had granite in one house and silestone in another, loved them both. Now Silestone is more expensive than granite. Still don't know which way I will go. More than likely Granite, since it is more reasonably priced and for me at least was pretty care free. Good luck. :)
