Open Plan Kitchen, Dining Area and Great Room
We are building a new house with an open plan situated at the back of the house - the size is 36' wide and 18' deep. I would like to use the dining area as an extension of the great room and have comfortable furniture there instead of another dining area. There is a large island without stools separating the kitchen and dining area. We have a large dining room at the front of the house and intend to use that as a reading and dining room. We are just two and don't see the need for two separate dining areas. What kind of furniture would be best for the in between area/

DO you have any ideas of what you'd like to use the space for? I think I'd vote for something that looked similar to a dining set, yet was more of a game or card-craft-package wrapping-multi-use-table: like this (I especially love the comfortable chairs on casters) Basement Den
