can you tell me the depth of the built-ins. i love that they are so narrow and don't take up half the room!

Thanks for your inquiry! These built in are 8". And YES it is great to have them narrow so they are not taking up so much space in a room, perfect size for some books, pictures and small accessories!

I love these built ins. If you were to use as your primary dresser, what changes to the depth would you recommend?

Generally, dressers or nightstands are 18" deep, but it really all depends on your preference. If you need more or less room, feel free to adjust that depth.
