Kitchen Table - Paint, Stain or what?

Found a table and chairs, finally, that's large enough and looks sturdy enough. Issue is its a little 80's/90's and wondering how to stain or paint to update the look (and recover chairs). I have a more bohemian/farmhouse style and the house we rent is an old victorian.. the trim in our home is all white, wood floors. I'm not afraid of color although I'm more about neutrals for tables. The photo is in another person's home.

Sarah, the sky is the limit! You can paint or stain any color...just so it makes sense in your space. Keep it simple with the paint/stain and pick a fabulous fabric...don't need much for the chairs.
