Exterior paint colour stucco and eves.
May 13, 2014 in Design Dilemma

I am seeking guidance on exterior paint colours for the stucco, trim and eves trough/ fascia/ soffits. The house is stucco ( the rougher 1970s style stucco). I've been told the style is Craftsman. ( could someone confirm that?) the windows are white vinyl and are staying. The roof is gray/black.

I am leaning towards a blue-gray like BM Trout Gray 2124-20, with all white trim/eves and a solid wood front door. I like the idea of the crisp contrast.

Any thoughts? I am open to just about anything, am just deathly afraid of getting it wrong as it's a huge job!

Do you have stone on your pillars or anywhere on the house or is it all stucco? If you have stone (or brick) can you take a close up photo and post it here in the comment section? Also a close up of your entry area showing your front door.

Thanks for the response! There is no stone (although adding some May be a future project-not anytime soon.) I should have mentioned that the door will likely be changed from double door to oversized single door and side-lite.

How do you feel about this one? The siding/stucco is BM Stone and the trim is
Benjamin Moore White Dove.

I like the first (stone and white dove).

In that case, are my eaves better off white or I had someone say they should relate more to the roof (eg grey,) and therefore downspouts won't draw attention going down the walls.

Thx for your help, thus change is 3 years in the making:)

Sounds like you are getting just what you want for your home. The new larger front door with sidelight is exciting too. Would love to see what you ultimately do when you are finished. Come back and post photos :)
