How about some furniture on your porch? Move the pot with the topiary (maybe get 1 more) to the space between the 2 windows. You just need a little height to make it look good.

How about trimming the tree back a lot or removing it? Post a picture of the right side of the door. Maybe paint the rails white

As a non professional I feel like the front has an identity crisis. Looks like a back deck but is the front door area. If it were my front door I'd enlarge the entrance area by opening up the stairs into a wider more grand area plus I'd probably paint the deck to blend in better. I'd also consider revising the deck to look more like a veranda by removing the railings and making the area a large low level receiving area.

Meet Me at the Wrecking Ball
Cabel nailed it. Someone put a back porch on the front of your house. Do exactly what she said.

Agree with Jeanne. The steps are much too narrow. Agree with making the deck look more like a veranda to give the front entry presence. I would use dark stain on the deck and white stain on the risers too. Expand photo to see the font entry. You don't have a cover, so the posts aren't needed.

A "deck" on the front is one of my pet peeves! Paint the guard white, and add a 1x4 to the top of the "pickets" horizontally to get rid of that angled look at their top. Widening the stairs is also a great idea. And furniture on the porch, too, but not too much. Overcrowding a narrow front porch is another bad idea.

Is it just me, or does the large rock in your garden look like a rabbit?

at a minimum, paint that entire railing. Then as time and money allow, widen the stairs and angle them toward the walkway.

Hi! Your home is adorable. I would remove tree on left, stain the porch/deck and put two black rockers with bright pillows. Maybe some hanging pots. Enjoy!
