Please, please, please help! Outdoor deck

Staining deck next week... problem is, I don't have a clue as to what color! Need help! Deck builder uses Behr solid stain. This is a newly built pressure treated wood deck and is quite large. Setting is very rural; home is traditional. Red brick, grey trim and grey roof on house. Need to keep it to ONE color - deck flooring and rails, etc. will all be the same color. Can you offer suggestions, please?? Thank you in advance!

From what I was told by BM store, the deck shouldn't be stained until it has sat for a year.
I would check into this first - I could have been mis-informed.

Actually, the deck was completed in August 2012. By newly built I meant that nothing had been done to it yet. Thank you! And, yes, builder said it needed to sit for a period of time - don't remember how long he said though.

I would go with something towards the center lower samples.

Went with Behr Boothill Grey solid stain. It turned out exactly as I had hoped it would. Nice shade somewhere between a brown and a grey - very versatile color!

how often will that deck need restaining?

Do you want it to stand out or blend in? If blend in, in the second row, 4th, 5th or 6th one from the left.

@njschaefer78 - the last photo of the deck is stained already! I chose a color that would more or less blend with the house and the setting (we are on a farm).

@bbowers35 - only time will tell how often we need to restain! Hopefully not too often because the deck is rather large and getting the weather to cooperate was a challenge!

Cecilia02 - read the posts - it's been stained.

Andydale, we stained our deck last year and had lots of snow on it over the winter.
The horizontal wood now needs redoing ! Vertical seemed to weather the snow.
I'm thinking this winter of putting down some kind of tarp to protect it from the elements.
Probably won't look that pretty, but may help protect it.
