love the wood floors in the kitchen but how do they hold up?
is the paint color and are the walls and trim the same?

color over paint to achieve the same look; however, you cannot use a lacquer or urethane over wax. The wax becomes the top coat. Keep in mind when you apply the glaze, the base color changes. I usually start out with a "brighter" color and the glaze darkens and tones down the color.
Love the painted cabs mixed with wood cabs- especially the upper and lower pairing. I would try the opposite- wood on top, same as floor, painted on bottom. Island maybe different color. Maybe.
