Concrete, brick, flagstone, smooth river stones and smooth gravel are great for dog paws. Using fine bark as a mulch works too, but not cocoa mulch — ever. For smooth-coated dogs, thicker mulch is good; for dogs with

tamp? I have a small yard and the area immediately off the back steps has a dip to it. This section fills up with water and becomes a mess with my dogs every time it rains, and it has rained a lot this summer! I need a solution that will not be too expensive and that I can do myself, please. Thank
suppose this could be dog-friendly once the turf is established. I wouldn't do pebbles, as these would be kicked up onto the stones, and would become an on-going maintenance issue.
Well, it could get a bit messy if the dog likes to dig and scramble around. The slabs will support the dog's weight no problem
