This was not a new floor. This was an 80-year-old, white oak floor to start. We do not know the brand of stain used, although it was "ebony" in color.
the color of these floors is what I was thinking for your cabinets... you still see some grain but not overwhelming, not too busy, byou you want a matte finish

How do you tile the floor? DIY or expert?
They are quite popular, and for good reason- they instantly add a soothing spa feel to pretty much any space, and they do feel great underfoot. This is a beautiful space!
