What is that door casing on each side of doorway? I really like how simple it is
The trim on this door is comprised of three parts: - side casing: 1" x 4" - top casing: 1 7/16" x 7 1/4" - top casing trim: craftsman header 11/16" x 1 /3/4" The material side and top casing material can be MDF or Poplar or Pine (consider what your budget allows) but the top casing trim should be
"steps of reveal" that can be seen are the casing, the door jamb and the door stop which provides depth and a nice look for this style of trim. also consider whether you want the casing/trim to have square edges or slightly rounded edges The name of the top casing trim can vary depending on the supplie
filled, sanded and prepared prior to painting otherwise your trim will show all of these I am glad you like it, I will be posting a number of other door and window trims in the next couple of weeks. Regards, Ben Peake Peake Design & Construction

I do not know how to pick out trim of doors/windows, baseboards & crown molding. What is name of photo trim?
Any chance you have the measurements of the trim? It looks like it steps down in size from the baseboard. The baseboard looks like a 1x10 or 1x8, door 1x6, and window 1x4? And is the face profile of the backband 1"?
casing is square base with a back band

i don't think i can change all the door casings..so use simple baseboard but maybe with a little bevel on top? or maybe just change all door casings???
thinner baseboard dies into door casing. use 1/2" mdf base with 3/4" mdf casing
the side casing - I like that too

Where did you get this casing? Did you use plain casing and then add an edge band?add an edge band?
I love the casing around the doors.
Beautiful design. The window and door casings can also be achieved by adding a backband (see our KB197 profile) to flat stock 1x4 trim ... - Feel free to print off the sheet and bring to your local
door, but it's too wide in photo

very simple, small, clean door casing. use for hallway opening and pantry opening maybe
Short baseboards and thin door trim
Small baseboard with cased in doorway that protrudes out just enough to meet the baseboard flush.
subtler graffiti-style wall painting by Chris Buening strays from the ordinary with its geometric design and cool tones, but it's the placement over the door frame that makes it a conversation starter.

Door and Window Trim -- what size boards are used here?
The window and door trim are part of the home's original 1920s design. As I remember, the trim is about 4" wide. Although the remodel is in a modern style, we kept the original trim details and painted them white for a clean look. Pamela Portwood, Allied ASID, LEED AP Interior Design Principal Greener
