but I an not finding it. This is exactly what we are looking for. We will also be taking a tub out and putting in a walk in shower. What style of doors would you recommend and what flooring for the shower?
classic look of doors, casings, windows in white. I think it looks nice in the application of this photo. Same with the bath fixtures, I generally go white over biscuit.

Hi, I want to build a wood patio. What type of wood should I use to get a long lasting nice finish. Julie
We usually use redwood or Ipe' wood. Redwood is softer but will hold a stain longer. Ipe' is more scratch resistant but it is hard to get a sealer to penetrate, so people often have to stain every year.
Consider the elevation in relation to your doors, if you only have a few inches to work
work with between the bottom of your door and your grade (ground level) I would suggest a patio but if you have excess room around 10-12 inches you have plenty of room for a deck. You just want to be mindful that whatever you choose is not creating more labor (which ups the cost) than would be required
is stone. I also had a small deck that serves more as an entry point into the house - I love it, too. It's size was small enough that I chose IPE wood with metal railings to minimize upkeep. I guess it depends on where you are putting it.

Sliding barn doors, iconic features of such a structure, increase the visual size of the opening to respond to the scale of the barn's broad side. And what's a barn without

How does the sliding barn door lock? Thanks, Criag
dang! I wanted a barn door and my husband said no, because it does not lock, so I was hoping you had a secret lock. oh well, maybe a future invention.
Well, it doesn't. I wouldn't recommend using a barn door where locking is important. Thanks, Mette
