what type of cabinetry is the island? a custom driftwood finish or a specific stain?
It's so lovely. I just love it! Also, would you be willing to share sizes of the two different islands? Many thanks!
Thank you very much! The working island is 6'-3" (75") long x 4'-0" (48") wide and the seating island is 4'-8" (56") x 4'-8" (56"). The spacing between them is 44" and between the perimeter and the island is almost 50". Each kitchen is obviously a bit different, and we
to know the dimensions of each of these islands and perhaps even the spacing between them and then between the cabinetry on perimeter. I have a kitchen that is 22 feet long by 16 feet wide and I'm trying to figure out if I could have proper room for 2 islands instead of one massive one! Thanks!

i like the double island idea
Horizontal grain in toekick, big blocky hood, double islands not parallel
Angled second island may work for kitchen with many angles
flat island hood with some "width"
Islands don't have to sit parallel to each other. Turning one at an angle, as in this kitchen, helps both to loosen up the symmetry of the space and create a more efficient traffic flow.

Finally, there's no rule that an island has to look like an island. The one on the right in this kitchen is styled after a table, which gives it a furniture feel and dresses up the space.Tell us: If you have a pair of islands in your own space, was it worth the splurge? We'd love
I can't seem to write about kitchens or islands without including this interesting image. Everything about it is so unexpected to me, and the perfectly curated light fixtures are no exception.
