Return. Finally, you must decide how much return you will need. Return is the distance your drapery hangs away from the wall. Yup, this also affects the proportion. The standard return is 3½ inches. But larger or taller windows may require a deeper return to avoid looking squashed against the wall

I don't know where these are from but Ethan Allen just got in new silk draperies and they have a similar color. They are simply stunning. I'm putting them in my 2-story family room for a dramatic look. Hope this helps.

Orange! Perfect use of a bright, cheery color done in a perfectly grown-up way. Great transitional style and use of color. Fan pleated draperies provide a perfect backdrop.

What is the diameter of the drapery rods and what brand are they?
I've had an awful time trying to locate metal "modern" nickel or stainless steel drapery rods larger than 1 inch diameter...even through my decorator. I prefer this look over

Love the drapes and roman shade. Does the shade have blackout fabric lining it? Also, where did you find the drapery rod, I would like to get the same one for my living room project. Thanks.
Beautiful roman shade framed with drapery panels
Patterned shades. Tucked behind full-height ecru draperies, a patterned shade adds just the right touch of interest to this serene bedroom. Note that it doesn’t match the link-patterned carpet, but is an equal
is the perfect example of how you can layer your Roman shade under functioning coordinating drapery panels. High design is achieved by the fringe at the bottom of the shade and the rod at the top of the draperies. Style tip: Layering your window treatments will allow you to block out more light — great
