I live in the woods ( oaks mostly ) and I have a new flower bed I want to plant this fall; it is in dense shade. The bed only gets dappled light for a short time. The trees are very tall; their branches start about 20" up and are huge so it
have, personally, hydrangeas thriving in shade as well as in full sun, but in both cases, I make sure that they are properly watered. They don't like dry soil. Mulch will help retain the moisture in the soil. One thing that you also have to know: If your soil is not acid, they won't be blue. Hope this

What kind of trees are those in the raised wall bed along fence?
Raw concrete render colour on retaining wall on garden beds
You may also consider concrete for the walls for a cleaner look. But I think the dry stack walls add a nice texture.

The Room is 10x12 hard wood floors with twin size bed to be installed.
paint and sanding with a fine grit sandpaper in between each coat. I don't like polyurethane because it changes the color even when the can says it dries clear. I have done the above technique with wood stain with great results. Good luck!
