Master Bathroom
How difficult is to build the door base?
I loved this Bathroom and building the same in my bedroom. I talked to my contractor and he says it is lot of work to get the base of the door as he knows how
36" min for shower = 96" (8'-0") So you might be a little too narrow. Layout some blue tape on a floor to simulate the dimensions or hire a design build construction company to help you figure this out if you are not hiring a designer to help. Good luck!

Kid-Friendly Basement
, a craft room, and a large open area for play and entertainment. Cleanup is a snap with durable surfaces and movable storage, and the furniture is easy for children to rearrange. Photo by John Reed Foresman.
Our clients wanted to finish the walkout basement in their 10-year old home. They were looking for a family room, craft area, bathroom and a space to transform into a “guest room” for the occasional visitor. They wanted a space that could handle a crowd of young children, provide lots of storage and
juliaexton- I think you may be happy with going to Costco or Home Depot. They have HUSKY work bench style cabinets with bamboo surfaces and they are on casters. Perhaps you could use one to fit your needs.

South Philly Row House
Hi there!! I really like your floor tiles! What colour of grout did you use? Are they porcelain or ceramic? Glazed? Easy to clean? As you can tell I am in the market for some :) Thanks!! Rhea
Hi, Rhea! I just photographed this home, so I can't speak to how easy they are to clean. I do know that they are ceramic tiles original to the home.

Contemporary Custom Home
This striking contemporary home was designed by Conway+Schulte Architects and built by Boyer Building Corporation. The home is built in an organic curve that mirrors the edge of the marsh it overlooks.
I am planning on having a modern home built with a flat roof, but have concerns about the roof. I found there are possibly two better approaches, PVC or EPDM type membranes, but not sure which of the two is best. Can you tell me what this home used if it is a flat roof, and how it has stood

What determines whether a home is a 3 storey or a 2 storey with a walkout basement? Thanks
typical "walk-out" single family home is considered a 2-storey residential building. That said, you should check the zoning by-law in your area first as it might be addressed differently for some reason. Typically the zoning for residential areas intended for single family homes will only place restrictions
ns on the size of the home by allowing a maximum building height.
