breakfast bar? Looking for ideas as to what can be used to cover this area. Definitely like the stools!!
Rounded bar could add some size to the kitchen
This curved shaped bar is what I'm looking for but flipped and a little shorter, also with the prep bar added.
Minus the chairs this is so cool in every way. I think chairs should be comfy and those look cool but also
over an eating area in the adjacent room, creating enough room for an eat-in bar, additional storage and counter space. Bar stools: Minotti; bar top: custom wood, Allan G. Pinney in Dublin, New Hampshire
adjacent eating area, turning it into an eat-in bar with extra counter space. A classic all-white palette keeps the kitchen in line with the rest of the home's style.

End of peninsula? Remove built in bookshelves?
Ah yes, a bookcase for cookbooks handy and available in the kitchen though the island needs to be stepped so there is an eating/serving level then a lower level with sink an counter space
Want a bookshelf in the kitchen.
seems like a great idea. can incorporate in the new house with the island
near an eat-in bar, it makes it super convenient to work up those weekly meal plans.
In a place where people will gather to chat and sometimes look for something to occupy them, a stack of varied literature at the end of the island isn't a bad idea. Guests might feel free during down times to grab
books in the kitchen. The low bookcase gives this space a library feel.

love the towel bar on island!
Eat up buffet. Like the top, but different colored paint. Could use as craft storage with drop under leaves; pull out when using chairs to work on top. Make top removable with a craft mat and built ins beneath.
kj likes style and wood type of bar
dishes away in your cabinets where you'll just have to pull them all back out, come meal time...consider keeping them out to enjoy all day. Your table or eat-in bar will be all set and ready when dinner time rolls around.

1. Lower "bar" area 2. Glass top for "bar" area
Like the eating area being lower, to use regular chairs rather than higher bar

Everything, In my mind I have converted it into a wet bar. would be great.
that the eat-in bar feels as if it's suspended mid-air. Notice all the rounded and curved shapes...really adds to that futuristic feel.
FLIP! Can't you just imagine Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man, whipping up some omelets in this kitchen?

cabinets but in a dark color with some open/glass shelving above. Like under cabinet lights to reflect the countertops.
In lieu of an "island"....I can use this design....
features an eat-in bar and granite countertops paired with black Shaker-style cabinets. The gray tones are repeated through the backsplash. Stainless steel and stone tile reflect light from the undercabinet lights.
