Share Your Story: Transform a Sunroom into a ‘True Four Seasons Space’
Skiermanski is very familiar with Warmly Yours’ products and chose a TempZone™ electric heat mat with a SmartStat™ control and A/C via a split wall unit. He chose to reinforce this with foam insulation under the floor and in the walls and ceiling. Once accepting the project, Skiermanski sent the sunroom

I'd love to know what the flooring is here?
light comes in through the argon-filled triple-pane low-E glass to further heat up the polished concrete floors, which have their own radiant heating. The sun on the floor reduces the need for the radiant heating, letting the heat dissipate throughout the day.

An electric system, on the other hand, would be more appropriate for a small area, like a bathroom. Warm Up Your Bathroom With Heated Floors
the opposite end, a highly energy-efficient house with an excellent thermal envelope won’t need radiant heating. It would be a cost with an extremely long payback period. Instead of whole-house radiant heating, perhaps consider localized systems in the bathrooms, just to have a nice warm spot for your feet
this is about under floor heating, and it is part of a very interesting article and very good commnents

are the wood floors actually tile? or a special wood for heating?
only wood floor that was guaranteed with radiant heating. I understand you can even lay wall to wall carpeting if you use a special type of carpet pad. We have been in our house nearly 7 years now and have had NO problems whatsoever with the radiant heat. Absolutely love those warm stone floors in the bathroom

durability can’t be beat. It’s cost effective, gorgeous, long lasting and let’s not forget the possibility of ambient heat! There is truly nothing like the feeling of a heated bathroom floor warm against your socks in the morning. Good design is easy to come by, but great design requires a whole package
design from floor to ceiling. The open tresses and gorgeous wood tones fill the home with light and warmth, especially since everything in the home is reflecting off the gorgeous black polished concrete floor. As a material for use in the home, concrete is top notch. As the longest lasting flooring solution
What colors/stains were used to get the color of the floors? They are beautiful!

through the flooring. These pipes are completely sealed, and there is very little chance of them ever leaking. The dry system uses electricity. I have radiant heat in my bathroom floors. These systems are different from a wet system by the fact that there is a mat that is placed under the flooring instead
have a underfloor heating system installed. The underfloor heating system is placed under your flooring and is capable of heating the entire area that it is installed in. When you have this heating system installed, it is highly suggested that you use insulation to keep the radiant heat from going into
