Like windows at top of French doors
Like these windows above the doors
Would like to put these windows over my kitchen cabinets and over pantry door
Maybe doors with transoms like this instead of windows across back of living room to patio like at mammas.

Could use the same Hardie slats and have just window seats
The cedar wood and copper window frame achieves a few things: It breaks up the grey stucco finish, provides shade from the afternoon sun, creates a space for plants and indicates where

What are the dimensions of the casing above the transom windows and is it one piece?
I love how you have trimmed out the window. What are the dimensions of the casing and did you back band a piece of flat casing or is this all one piece? If
I have a triple window 150 inches wide. The sun comes in unbelievably during the day! I want to be able to open and shut the curtains like you have in this picture.
Are those 12" or 16" transom windows?
Paul: I love the French doors and transom windows. Who made them?
the draperies close across the entire width of the windows. These draperies serve to soften the window wall.
Draperies can serve more than one purpose. Sometimes, they provide privacy or sun blockage; sometimes they are just to "dress" the window. You actually could use 2 shorter rods, one on each

Love this gray as a house paint color and yellow door and windows
like the wide framer one one window but none on the others
Long and narrow window on the door
Log-filled niches (one is visible here) add texture and dimension to the straight lines and angles of the entry. "Our neighbors have been so sweet throughout the remodel, but I know that there was this fear that our home would be cold and boxy," says Brettkelly
architectural detail. You can also use color to play with scale. The same color in the door placed higher on the wall will call attention to the entry's location from blocks away, confirming that this is where you'll find the front door.

I like the idea of a front entry big enough for two rocking chairs, sort-of in place of a front porch. Interesting variation on a front entry with a door and two windows above. Definitely an interesting and varied roof line going on here too. Dislike
I think I really prefer windows in the entry than side lites
is so organic to the property and design of the home. The scale of the doors and windows are simply perfection..
could our windows on either side of the front door open? maybe not all the way to the floor, shorter and a tiny bit wider to open?
