This executive home office has a warm and distinctive feel with the rich, multi-colored wood desk and hutch. The bold stripe, mock roman window treatment takes some of the seriousness out of the room.

A recently completed John Kraemer & Sons home in Credit River Township, MN. Photography: Landmark Photography and VHT Studios.
We are building a home with several built in desk areas. I do not want to use granite on all of them but my builder says the wood tops don't stand up. Please tell me what your experience has been with this desk. What is wood species? Stained with poly?
What color stain was used for the cabinetry in this home office?
From where is the desk? Really beautiful office.
actually Walnut... The desk and bookcase are Alder. Good luck!
The floors look like oak. What species is the desk and bookcase from? They look very nice together. AM trying to match a species of wood floor with all of the beautiful dark oak trim, moldings and doors in my reno home and am having trouble

What is the depth of the desk the sink was placed in?
I have an old oak desk that I could use but it is 33 inches deep. That seems too deep.
Thinking of doing this. The drawers on my desk stick. Suggestions?
A standard vanity is 20"-24" deep. If you have the space you could use the 33" desk but ensure you install the sink within a few inches from the front of the desk.
It is an old oak desk used as a vanity. The counter top is varnished oak. The sink is from Kohler.
Old office desk made into sink...love it!
could do with any old desk
like the use of the old desk
vanity could use the old desk in basement
...using desk; the drawers are excellent for storage!!!
vanity is created from an old desk. The drawers make perfect storage for toiletries and necessities.

can someone pls tell me where this desk is from? also, the cost???
Ok....this is making me mental. What are the wood and iron thingies to the right of the desk on the floor?
What is attached to the pipe that appears to be coming out of the side of the desk?
Can you please verify if this is the 62" or 80" desk? It appears to be the 62" but hard to tell for sure. Thank you!!
what is the finish on the desk. I that is not the original colour from restoration hardware. Dark Walnut by "Minwax"?
can see the keyholes in the front of them. They've been repurposed on their sides as a base for some installation art. The black pipes going into the desk are likely just artful ways of stabilizing the base (and tree branches stemming from it), similar to the way you'd anchor a big bookcase to wall studs

Love the desk! Where can I find this??
Can you ask the client where the desk is from?
the wood was original to the home. Thank you, Caitlin Carr Studio Schicketanz ccarr@studioschicketanz.com
annehouse, Our clients sourced this desk along with most of the interior furnishings for the home. Unfortunately, I am unsure where they purchased this desk. Best of luck in your search!
Johnamiller, The desk was a found mid-century era piece. Best of luck in your search! Caitlin Studio Schicketanz
the space is small; but properly managed for home office
I like the clean lines of the desk and the white bookcase behind the desk
Beautiful desk-like how it will hide wiring to computers
Rather than being shoved against a wall, this desk enjoys sitting in the center of the room, atop an area rug. The furniture arrangement is tight, yet the room is not too full. The white walls and ceiling
