My room is long and fairly narrow (25.5' X 14.5') with the fireplace centered on a long wall. I've been planning to lay it lengthwise but am wondering if it should run the other direction (from long wall across to the other long wall), as I've seen quite a few floors done
reason I asked is because the room pictured above does not seem to follow your advice. The other part of my dilemma was that I have a doorway to a long narrow hall that runs perpendicular to the length of the living room. So, while it may not be the way we should have done it, we ran the boards in
curtains and chair by the window.

Is that a window at the right of the shower? If so, what is covering the window?
Above the seat on the shower is that a window? if so What is it and how does it operate? It looks like a frosted glass on hinges
I love the frosted glass window front that swings open....and would then add privacy between the sink and shower I assume- clever and fun! Wonder why a wall niche was not incorporated to hold shower products - that's feels like a missing element in a design where function was obviously valued. Again

Interesting design, what's the idea behind it? Does having the frosted glass panel after the window fix the silhouette problem
The frosted glass panel is on hinges. The panel provides privacy and the operable window behind is
