Reclaimed wood beams are used to trim the ceiling as well as vertically to cover support beams in this Delaware beach house.
treated, they're not. The wood comes from old buildings like barns. The wood is rescued and then attached to a box beam. The reclaimed wood is often a higher quality than what is sold today as newly harvested wood. Once it's properly installed, it looks just like a solid wood beam. Because of how they weathered

It's some sort of hardwood floor but I don't know the color or details. We only provided the beams. The actual interior design was by P [Four] of Washington, D.C. They're not on Houzz but they have a web site you could direct your question

The bottom beam is our Superior STB 25 Faux Beam. It is 8"W x 10" H x 19' Long and 30 LBS. We can also make custom beams to any width, height or length.

Reclaimed wood beams on the vaulted ceiling create the look that this beach house has been around for awhile, rather than being newly built. They also enhance the sense of nature already provided by the large glass doors on one side of the room. Used vertically, they also help create a visual separation
because we didn't do the general design. We only provided the reclaimed wood beams. The overall design was done by P [Four}, a Washington, D.C., firm that is not on Houzz.
