K&D Landscape Management
Brick walkways and a brick patio work in concert with boxwood and yew hedges on this farmhouse landscape. A fire pit, Adirondack furniture and plenty of annual flowers are also woven into the fabric of this landscape design.

Blue Ridge Landscaping
What is the material between the flagstones..... Did you place them like regular pavers? Also, for the fire pit, did you just dig a hole, use a metal fire ring and any particular stone? It's so beautiful!
themselves, they were laid on a bed of sand underneath a base of compacted crushed concrete. The fire ring was built with boulders surrounding the pit and some recycled pavers were used for the bottom of the pit to line the bottom of the firepit. We agree it is beautiful. Thanks so much!
Fire Pit - easy look with flagstone
like how the pit is low and set in ground
In ground fire pit and natural stone
A circular space of 12 to 14 feet in diameter works well for fire pits. The circular shape allows for seating completely around the fire pit and has an organic form. Circular outdoor spaces also mesh well with natural landscaping and can easily be juxtaposed with the more rigid form of a home.

The fire pit has a stone veneer base that matches the home. There is a small planter around the perimeter of the fire pit which allows for a perimeter of vegetation.
Like the flat ledge around the pit to kick your feet up or put something on (as opposed to rock)
I like the ledge on top of fire pit for drinks or food
like the fact that the top of the fire pit can be used....good size
fire rocks, lip, plants around bottom
You got it done! Now reward yourself. Open up that bottle of wine, light up the fire pit and put your feet up. Your patio is ready for outdoor living.
