what kind of paint is used on the fireplace?
What is the paint colour behind the art on the fireplace?
The brick behind the fireplace is is painted with California Paints, color# DE6384
so the components would have adequate ventilation. The wall color is California Paints Desert Gray DEC760 (yes, it's actually taupe) and the fireplace brick is California Paints Iron Fixture DE6384.

- At the risk of jumping in front of Resort Custom Homes, those are vented gas logs by Golden Blount, likely in a masonry woodburning fireplace. Specifically, it think it is one of the Texas Bonfire sets: http://www
this brick is Walnut Creek by Statesville. this is how the material comes.
Fireplace flush to the floor with flush hearth
This typically costs between $500 and $1,000, which is less than a fireplace insert. Because you must leave the damper open at all times with vented gas logs, your home can lose a lot of heat — even more than with a wood-burning fireplace. To remedy the heat-loss issue, you can have airtight glass doors

Brick Fireplace - can I paint an existing one to look like this?
Yes, you can :) use a brush lightly touched in paint and hit only 30% of each brick, then use extra coarse sand paper to sand off some of the paint, do this evenly on each brick and the natural cracks and bumps and craters will show white like the paint to chose and it will look

I am currently having contractors demo my kitchen and expose a brick chimney that vents the furnace. Was there anything special you did to make sure the brick was clean? Some of the brick has plaster on it and I'd like to suggest to the contractor that they scrape it off or somehow
Love this brick. Any way to find out the name and maker?
The fireplace area looks great! Please can you tell me what did the contractor use to enhance the color of the bricks.I want the bricks around my fireplace to be exposed exactly the way you have got it done.I was successful in removing the layers of paint from it and now can see the original bricks, but
but the issue is that the redness of the bricks is not highlighted enough;also I am not looking to paint them a red color-any suggestions on what product to use to make the original color stand out more. Thanks!
