have a built in made for one side of the fireplace?
My living room fireplace has an arched doorway to the den on the left side of it, and I was thinking of having built in's made for the right but am unsure if it will look lopsided.

Does the heat from the fireplace effect the T.V.? We have a similar set up, with a fireplace and a space above that my husband wanted to use for a T.V., but we were hesitant because of the possible effect the heat from the fireplace might have on the T.V.
