the height from the floor to the bottom of the fireplace? Thanks.
material surrounding the fireplace is a glass tile from Ann Sacks. It's called "Glace", in their "Sticks" pattern, and the color is "Ice". It does come right to the edge of the firebox, consistent with the fireplace manufacturers requirements.

Level Three: We selected a suspension light (metal, glass and silver-leaf) as a key feature of the living room seating area to counter the bold fireplace. It lends drama (albeit, subtle) to the room with its abstract shapes. The silver planes become ephemeral when they reflect and refract the environment:

entertain guests. The decorative concrete patio used an integral color and release, was scored and then sealed with a glossy finish. There was plenty of seating designed into the patio space and custom cushions create a more comfortable seat along the fireplace. Jason Wallace Photography
what stain/finish did you use on the beams
There are three main types of ceiling fans: interior, 'damp rated', and 'wet-rated'. If you are placing a fan in a covered area outside then use damp rated. If it will be in contact with direct rain, you will need to find a 'wet-rated' fan. My favorite fans are www.bigassfans.com, but on the cheaper
Thanks. The concrete has an integral color which was a light tan in color. A darker color 'release' was sprinkled on the surface and then we used a "heavy texture" rubber mat to make the surface of the concrete look more like stone. I'm not a fan on patterned stamps, so after concrete was poured

The lighting from the windows and the tall fireplace mimic my great room. I am looking for a gray color for my walls and this is fabulous! What is it?
Can you please tell me what the material is over the fireplace? Is it wood molding ontop is a slab of plywood and then
Shane, this is the most spectacular fireplace! Thinking of doing something similar at a cottage we're building. Ceilings however are only 9'. Do you think it would look ok? Fireplace we've chosen is a rectangular linear one.

Like this hanging fireplace. This is the kind we like but love that it is off floor
Use a surprising element suspended from above to illustrate a change in space. This hovering fireplace cuts through the upper-floor void and brings the focal point back to a human scale on the lower level, which could otherwise have been lost in the double-height space.
