Nice fireplace and nice tile surround... like the way the whole fireplace looks--the heart, the mantel, the firebox itself. Could be of any material... Strange window placement but nice large fireplace for room size... recessed fireplace; mantle and hearth jutt out... curved fireplace coming out into the room... Fireplace mantle and architectural detail above... white mantle, color of walls. the one by the fireplace tad bit darker, side walls lighter, furniture darker... Love the wanes coat above fireplace... Add borders to make the fireplace look like wood paneling... The simple addition of some woodwork above an ordinary fireplace mantle give some heft to this room which otherwise lacks anything architecturally appealing. The breastplate would be a simple DIY...
