lovely picture window , letting in loads of light
installing such a window really makes an impact on this landing. I think I'd plop down on that window seat and forget why I was ever going up or down the stairs.
2. Ventilation. If you want a view but don't need ventilation in the area, a fixed window can be a good choice. Fixed windows can be combined

All about windows. Need to study. Will have lots od windows to think about
window punctures the wall and is usually divided into smaller panes of glass. A midcentury modern house may have a section of fixed picture windows from floor to ceiling across one entire side of a room, so that the windows themselves form a wall.Fixed and picture windows. Fixed windows, called picture
picture windows when larger, do not open. Since no screen is required, the view through such a window is unobstructed. Fixed windows are frequently combined with other types of windows. A picture window centered between two operable windows is great for capturing a view while allowing breezes in.

Low ceiling, big windows, intentional playing with scale of pictures on
wood table, complement Eichlers remarkably well. The mother of this family furnished and decorated the house herself. Klopf and his team added the fixed window on the right to bring in more light and create a view to the rear yard.

cooktop/wall oven in front of a bank of windows, as putting it in an island opposite the sink seems disfunctional to me. Have you done this before, and how have your clients reacted to it? Thanks.
Do you have other pictures of a range, hood, AND sink on window walls?
Love the sink and cooktop under a bank of windows!
Could you please tell me how wide the bank of windows is? Also if possible, what is the length of counter space to the left and right of the cooktop? Thanks!
the middle window is 10'-3", the windows on the sides are 4'-6" wide...so to the right of the cooktop is about 6'6 of top....to the left of the top is about 7'-3
Can you tell me how wide the center window is?
we have not used an induction cooktop. but we have certainly put cooktops and ranges in front of a bank of windows (middleton, greenbrier). no complaints so far! As far as placement of sink opposite cooktop, we've done that as well. it's a function of the client
