umber over a biscuit beige base coat and then rubbed "rotten stone" into all the crevices. Hope this helps!
color and over-glaze used on the fireplace mantle is custom; the formula was mixed by the finisher per a sample I provided. The aged appearance comes from using "Rotten Stone" as the last application. This is not reclaimed wood although that would be handsome too!

similar way over the fireplace with a similar mantel to block any heat. My fireplace was probably constructed (as was the house) in 1859 so no option for clearance. Any brilliant ideas to achieve this?
