are outdoor classics for a reason. But don't stop there. If shabby chic is your indoor style, take it outside, with linens, pillows and fresh-cut flowers from the garden. It might not be practical for everyday use, but it's ideal for a tea party.

Love the vases with organic flowers.
Upon entry, a modern-meets-transitional vignette sets the tone for the home's intriguing décor. Seagrass wallpaper and patinaed metal provide a warm juxtaposition to the foyer's checkered stone floors.

Eagle Nest
Pacific NW garden, including trailing Rosemary, thyme, and sage. You can also see a white flowering lavendar and an orange flowering perennial (not edible) in this image...sorry I do not have an ID for the orange flower, but anything with similar water/sun requirements to the herbs would work!
Love the pots and the arrangements!
Love these pots arranged this way!
3. Plant a container garden. Although grasses are much easier to maintain, if you really want flowers to brighten up your backyard, perennials are a safe bet. Although annuals do tend to do well in container gardens, they need to be replanted each year
Tall containers bring plants to a higher level, perfect for appreciating the often-subtle leaf variations on herbs and ideal for easy harvesting. Mix flowers in with the herbs to add color and interest, as was done here.Tip: Containers are best for growing mint. Plant it in your garden, and it will soon
