Hell Connie, there are two orange flowering plants on the right - the one with the larger flower and leaves are Canna Tropicana. In front of it , with the narrow strappy leaves and smaller flowers is Kangaroo Paws ( Anigozanthos). Both do great in bright sun and would do well on a hillside .

I'm going to have to ask our Houzzer community for help on this question. I will say that where cut flowers are too impermanent, a potted plant is often an excellent choice. However, where upkeep is problematic, a beautiful silk plant is another great alternative
