What is the purple flower clumps? Beautiful.
Does anyone know what the pink and light pink flowers are?
light pink flowers on the edge are dianthus, and I agree with Helen that the dark pink looks like thrift. The really dark deep pink flowers a little further back are peonies

Folks, the plant with the large purple spikes spilling into the path is Catmint, Nepata 'Walker's Low' the hot pink globes in the lower left corner are Armeria maritima and the lighter pink is Dianthus, though I can't remember the variety. The white and deep red in the background are peonies.

arranged plants grouped by height in the bed next to the porch, this Michigan garden blends an array of plants and grasses in an equally mixed array of sizes that works perfectly with a farmhouse-style home.
Nearly any type of smaller plant that can be grown in the ground can be used in a hanging basket
basket. The plants that tend to look the best, however, are the ones that have a soft downward trailing or mounding habit rather than a stiff upright growth pattern. Opt for plants like ivies, pothos, ferns, succulents, vines and annuals like petunias, impatiens, geraniums, calibrachoa, lobelia and fuschias
