Last comment "Saucer Magnolia tree"
This photo has 1 question
What kind of tree is this? How much sun does it require?
This tree is a Saucer Magnolia (not a true Magnolia- not an evergreen) also called a 'big leaf' magnolia. They get pretty big but are the first trees to bloom in spring.
How big does this tree get?
Quote "Tree of honour" for Grandma
must. have. this tree. Barbara
Plant a tree in memory and honor
1. Plant a tree in honor of a life
Planting a flowering tree is an awesome idea to honor R.T.'s life!
When the tree blossoms every year, the branches can be brought into the house, symbolizing the celebration of that life.
Plant a tree to remember a loved one
Beautiful Tree. What is it?
Plant a tree in honor of a life. You may have heard of planting a tree in celebration of a birth. I think the same logic applies for a death. The tree symbolizes not the fact that your loved one has died, but that he or she lived.I suggest a flowering tree. When the tree blossoms every year, the branches

Plant flowering fruit trees in tandem with Eastern redbuds and flowering almond bushes for a symphony of pink before summer.
Plant trees and shrubs. Beginning in September and moving into October and November is the preferred time to plant all trees and shrubs. Just like perennials, trees and shrubs
cherry trees. Even after the blooms have gone, the trees have lovely silhouettes, leaves and bark to enjoy.
If you want to stick with the milder side of pink, you might want to invest in a few fruit trees. From Japanese cherry to some varieties of apple and plum, many fruit trees have pink blossoms

Hello! I love the trees, what are they? Do you know of a similiar tree that would do well in Central Florida? Thanks, Noel
what kind are those tree.
sargentii (flowering crabapple) 'Tina' They are short (6-8') and flower in early spring. I think I posted pictures of their beautiful blossoms. If not, I'll get them posted.
flowering crabapple tree. bloom in spring
Love those trees with the white blossoms. What kind of trees are those?
Trees + hedges - lots of texture
bushes and trees. Imagine the difference between the two if you were to run your hand over them. One would feel light and free, the other straight and solid.
Balance the scene. Frame a view with symmetrical plantings, such as clipped hedge forms or a set of flowering crab apple trees placed in all four

type of trees are these? Will they survive in TX?
They are a type of Dogwood tree
The tree is a Kousa Dogwood or Cornus Kousa.
Love the trees against the white house
white flowering dogwood (Cornus kousa, zones 5 to 8) and framed by a split-rail fence. The look is formal but not stuffy, and the fence matches the style and scale of the clapboard buildings.

For edge of property in front - add flowering trees to woodland edge
add flowering trees at woodland edge for contrast
Add flowering trees to woodland edges - eastern redbud, flowering dogwood, serviceberry, etc.
Add flowering trees to woodland edges. How about planting a tree on Mother's Day this year? Instead of paying a restaurant tab, go shopping at your local nursery and pick out a tree to add to your landscape

of pear trees. Photo Credit: Adrian Mendoza
better tree than the Bradford. The Bradford does have a problem with splitting that other varieties don't.
There you go....another selling point for Bradford Pear trees.
like the trees with white flowers in this picture.

like the look of these pear trees....set in gravel
Boxwoods mixed with tall come trees
evergreens and flowering trees achieve the same effect.
5. Plant shade trees. Exercise your green thumb by planting shade trees around the house. Design associate Andrew Spiering of Terra Ferma Landscapes suggests casting shadows on the southwestern exposure of the home using large deciduous trees, like oaks

Flowering prunus tree in full bloom
reasons: Its flowers are double, and the leaves come out before the blossoms. Here are some close-up "shots" of its flowers, that I took some years ago. Our tree is probably 30 feet tall, now, and so hardy! A real beauty! In contrast, the Yoshino cherry tree is almost white.
SF would love this pink tree
tree for front yard and backyard
anyway to add this tree in front?
Here's your cherry tree in bloom! Awesome!
crape myrtle tree for front landsape?
The Kwanzan Cherry is a great focal point. Have you many non-bearing fruit trees?
i like this tree for the corner where the 2 sides connect
Prune trees and shrubs. Lightly prune summer-flowering trees and shrubs, like oleander and crape myrtle, for shape. This is not the time to do a "hard" pruning to remove a lot of growth — your goal is to remove anything that is dead or diseased, plus growth that is at an odd angle or towering above the rest
