Truly admire your work. You mention "remote design" services in one of the "Replies". I have been unable to secure design services locally and may wish to pursue this option. Should an inquiry be made via the "kitchen lab" site? Thank
I love all your designs! Question on the yoke light please...
Can you use an induction cooktop for a classic or vintage design?
The island is custom - designed to fit the needs of the client and the space it's in. The finish is a classic black laquered finish on Maple with a slight distressed finish. Check with your cabinet supplier about design options. You can also contact me directly for remote design services.

what is the style of the room? Is it french provincial or traditional?
However, I'm trying to choose a trim size and don't want it to be too horsey or I feel it overpowers the room. What size is the ribbon trim here? My designer is recommending 1" but I think 3/4 is better? This looks thinner than 1", is it?
the drapes themselves are linen with little rhinestones in a pattern. The linen for the valence is plain. A decorative trim tape was used for the design on the valence.
Cornice board with inset tape that creates design at corners. I would recommend pulling the tape in further from the edge than what is shown in this photo.
