These trees (Crepe Myrtle) were part of the original landscaping for this project and we re-purposed them to the spot you see in
room for the trees when mature. Also how far from the fence line to plant the closest crepe myrtle? I'm planning to place a bench or garden swing on the grass in front of the arched area. It will be my favorite reading spot. Thank you for the inspiration! I can hardly wait until it's finished.

Beautiful backyard, I think this is a creeping vine. Flowering vines are employed in landscape design with both aesthetic and utilitarian purposes in mind. While trees and shrubs can certainly create a living barrier within your yard, creatively placed vines can also give you that feeling of privacy

You could try using landscaping paper under the gravel. We did and then compacted stone dust between the raised beds. It compacts into a hard surface, more difficult for weeds
