I'd like to do a cabinet similar to this; is the washer/dryer cabinet vented in anyway? I was looking at the spec requirements and they indicate venting is required e.g. a mesh or slats about the size of a air/heat register.
Are the cabinet doors for the washer/dryer
Washer/dryers can be noisy! I am thinking about combining the laundry room with a living space but I am concerned about the noise factor? Any thoughts please?
Is there a tray under the washer?
I spoke with Mike O'Hearn, the senior project designer on this project, and he assured me that the dryer and the bathroom fan both vent outside.

replacing my washer and dryer and also putting them in a smaller utility at that. I was needing to put my dryer up higher because of my age bending low is not that pleasant anymore. I am using a top loading washer so that is no problem....
What is the mfr/model of the washer & dryer?
anything that hides the washer dryer?
What has been the experience of having stacked washer/dryer? Does the top dryer stay put?
I have 'doubters' in my family that think the top dryer will get displaced and shift on the washer - as well as the action of the bottom washer creating 'shifting movement'
movement' for the top dryer. Please share your thoughts and suggestions so we can be assured of avoiding accidents. Thank you kindly.

Raise your washer and dryer. Front-loading washers and dryers have become more prevalent than top-loading types, due to higher energy efficiency and their capacity to fit more dirty clothes. However, most front-loaders are quite low to the ground, requiring you to kneel or crouch down to load and unload

broke down and bought front loaders and hate the smell my towels have and I only use HE detergent. I'm ready to get the old ones back my towels never smelled before. Any suggestions??
What is the cabinet depth of the cabinets over the front load washer/dryer?
should do the trick. Keep the door open fully. You will never have this problem again. Yes buy the cleaning tabs from Home Depot to clean your washer once a month. Remember mold clings with spores and embeds itself..so keep your door fully open at all times.
And take the detergent dispenser out between loads and let it dry. Also, use an old towel to dry out the gasket around the door. Sounds like a hassle, but takes seconds and prevents odor!

There are so many great photos of counters over the front loading washer/dryers, but I have yet to find one that does not seem to be "staged". A dryer can not be placed
I would love a folding counter over my washer and dryer but my washer "walks" during its cycles. Is there a solution to that movement?
How is the countertop being supported? Is it sitting directly on the washer and dryer?
placed flat against a wall because of the vent hose and a washer almost always has the water knob behind or above it slightly which is an eyesore itself. PLEASE help us find a picture of a counter that is functional AND pretty with instructions on how to build. Most we have seen are just laid on top for

stackable washer/dryer cupboard? I have 30 inches to work with in our master bath. I would like to have a door or doors. Thanks
Is it a code violation to use non-vented doors in washer/dryer set up
that an enclosed washer/dryer had to be behind vented doors, such as doors with louvers. Anyone know anything about this? I'd like to mine this way without the vented doors.
wouldn't the enclosed dryer be a huge fire hazard?
Hi. Can you tell us what the depth of the cabinet for washer and dryer was?
It's the same idea as placing the washer and dryer in a hall closet -- as some clients do, especially on the second level of a house. It's all properly vented.
We installed a venting kit ($80) to the dryer so all condensation is vented through the back of the dryer to outside.
Where did you get the countertop over/around the washer/dryer?
I'm looking for a very inexpensive solution to cover/protect the surface of my new washer and dryer. It's a front loader like pictured here and I would love to use the top as counter space. Any suggestion
How do you keep the washer & dryer from bumping together when the washer is spinning if they're that close together?
go to a joiner or carpenter and ask them to make something up for you. In doing this... make sure that there is enough room for airflow for the washer and dryer as you do not want to overheat either of them...they need space for air to circulate..
Mine vibrates really bad too, I have it level it is a maytag nepture front loader. It doesn"t move just vibrates really bad
