MMD: It's the one because I built the house from scratch! I love it because it speaks to my Louisiana roots with the architectural style. The front porch, columns and magnolia tree that were already on the property remind me of homes I always admired when I was growing up.

The columns are made custom. I have made some for my neighbor when replacing his old columns. They have a 4X4 or 6X6 post which is anchored top and bottom (plumb), then frame around the post with 1X
These columns look like columns we build out of treated pine 6 x 6's wrapped in 3/4 inch Hardie material then trimmed with 3/4 inch Hardie top and bottom with added vinyl trim
