Basement Bar
This basement bar has an island with a unique lighting feature. The radius stainless steel back of the island is backlit behind a sheet of white plexiglass. It also has white tile surrounding the remaining back and side that looks like sugar cubes.
Hi, where is the light in the kitchen from?? Thx
Weird that a guy who sells bar plans on a website would mistake this for a kitchen. Also weird that he'd be so rude about someone else's design on a public forum like this one. Whatever. This bar kicks ass and I he to one day have one just like it. :^)
I can pick almost 100 things I DON"T like about this dumpster fire of a kitchen...the lighting overkill alone is ridiculous and ugly. The whole thing looks like it's straight out of Pee Wee's Playhouse.

I have been looking for lights like this forever but I cannot find anywhere to purchase them. Do you know of any good places or websites?
A good source for these lights is Ballard Designs. Their strings are heavy duty so they do well in inclement weather. I think the heavier cord actually adds to their authenticity if you want to capture an outdoor European bistro look. There also are draping options, a feature of their unique strings
Love the lights strung about entertaining area.
Consider creating separate lighting designs for everyday use and for special events. If you are hosting a beach party, try fun string lights, gas lamps or candle luminaries to create a nice atmosphere for your event.
3. String up some lights If you have an outdoor heater or fireplace, string up some weather-resistant party lights for a fun atmosphere, then invite a few guests over on a cold but dry evening and fire up the barbie or cook a roast. Scatter plenty of blankets and

Kitchen backsplashes are a great opportunity for additional color, and a bubble design allows for several different colors in one shot. This look would give a playful twist to any modern kitchen.
