The cabinets were standard white cabinets. This is a second home for my clients, so I had my faux painter antique them vs. replacing them, which saved about $100,000 for this project. She is a fabulous artist, so I don't recommend this unless you have

I love the rustic effect on the doors and furniture. how can i do this
worn look is achieved by then hand scraping, sanding, marring (ex: steel wool) the layers of paint away then topping with a clear finish coat. The painter played with a number of techniques to acquire the homeowner's desire. Hope this helps!
