I love the indoor-outdoor feel, however I wouldn't do a garage door method, I'd do a folding back set of windows. That and the courtyard would have a garden of some sort in the center (herbs?). This one has too much cement for my taste
Good use of garage for outdoor protected cooking
I like the garage door Idea, cheap looks good. Can be outdoor kitchen adjacent to pool/courtyard,

I'm curious about your use of bales around the greenhouse and in the garden. Can you give more detail about your particular uses of them in your gardens, please?

Consider a small greenhouse like structure in the south kitchen garden
the side of the house for Brad to garden all year long and grow basil and tomatoes.
The greenhouse has changed the way the couple gardens. “It gives us year-round greens for smoothies and juices, as well as eating, and a chance to grow fruits like golden berries and pepinos,” Hausler says. “It’s amazing how much food can be grown in a 20-meter [215-foot] square. It can get pretty windy
