how did you secure and did you seal the bamboo? what dia. are they?
The bamboo was secured with small individual footers….they were not sealed because the owner wanted a natural quality. In hind sight, it would have been better if we had sealed them. The diameters range from 3-5”.

nigra (black bamboo) and Phyllostachys aurea (golden bamboo) because of their slow growth rate and stunning culm coloring. Golden bamboo works well against a dark backdrop, and black bamboo provides great contrast to lighter plantings in the garden.

upstairs apartment next door. I am considering bamboo due to the height (15' min.) and the rapid growth, but our gardener warmed against bamboo due to leaves in the pool. Please share your opinion and any recommendations. Thanks so much, Greg
