I love the small flat green plant featured in this garden. Perfect for a tiny dog to use on an apartment terrace. I'm assuming it's not grass, so what is it?

Delicate light can be just as effective as bright light — as well as more soothing and calming. The landscape lighting here is positioned to gently shine on the surfaces of various elements. This reflected light provides just enough illumination for this small area.
Looking down. Lights that shine downward rather than up or out create soft pools of light along a stairway. There's enough light to let you see where you're going, but it's not jarring or shining in your face. You don't need to light every tread. Instead, aim for just enough light to keep things safe

Just rented a house in Dubai, and took out all the grass, intending a water saving landscaped garden... with areas for a wooden swing for the kids, stone gravel, small grass area, potted plants... I like it architectural, but soft...
