travertine fireplace and the original hardwood floor which is over 80 years old and not replicable today. The chair is the Charles Eames' 50 year old lounge chair and ottoman. The fireplace mantle is cut from Silk Georgette stone, a type of grey marble.
Love the fireplace . Is it Gas or Electric. Where can I purchase?
Love the fireplace - what did you use for the mantle specifically?
does the fireplace realstone extend from the wall:)
We are ripping our stone fireplace and hearth and modernizing with Realstone product.. We want more floor space so need to know if we have to box in fireplace area or if stone just is attached to drywall. Really appreciate feedback. Lisa B

term "insert" only applies to a unit designed to be inserted into an existing fireplace. Most of the time, what folks mean is a "fireplace", which can built into a frame wall)

Love the lines on this fireplace and the material
I love the proportions and would like something similar for my home, though the fireplace would not be on a wall corner. I would appreciate if you could give me the dimensions of the fireplace frame, including height

We have a traditional centre opening flush rock fireplace with a built in heatilator fan system that is now unused as the previous owners put in an ugly gas insert that is innefective. I would like to modernize but want efficiency and love the look

sided gas fireplace log setup? Thanks.
What are the dimension of the fireplace, stone, and mantel? We love the look of the mantel with the stone but the room we want to put it in is narrow.
what is the stone used on the fireplace?
Is that a television over the fireplace?
Like the fireplace mantle, is it custom made or premade.
Is it possible to get specs. for the fireplace mantle. The header below the shelf looks like it sits about 1/2 inch further out than the columns. How is this done?
I really like the TV above the Fireplace, but would like to know the size
over a fireplace. If this is a TV, it's done in a very tasteful way.
Who is the manufacturer of that 2-sided fireplace?
of the fireplace? It looks like a two-sided fireplace? Is it gas or wood burning?

d the fireplace? We wanted our fireplace without glass but were told that was not possilbe due to Carbon Monoxide concerns. Still under construction, so would be very interested in who manufactured this one.
ducts/gas-fireplaces/b-vent-fireplaces/milan-60-72.html Sorry about that! the other link is to a great company, but not the one you need.
The fireplace in the original photo at the top is a Spark Modern Fires. It looks like the 6' ribbon one. For a direct vent, it runs about $15,000. Expensive.
Love the mix of a modern fireplace with antique world furniture

Long narrow fireplace. Clean lines
8-foot long fireplace in the great room was a bit of a challenge for Hollis. Both she and the client wanted it to have a clean cut, with no glass. In the end, they had the piece custom made with sensors that turn the flame off if someone gets too close. The installation was tricky as well — since the fireplace
Does your fireplace give enough heat if needed? Is there a fan on it? Thanks
We are building (in TX) and are trying to figure out what kind of fireplace is best (wood, gas, box, linear…) and your comments are very helpful. Congratulations on
currently our fireplace splits the view to the outside, with large floor to ceiling windows on either side. Fireplace was moved from a wall to there because we really do not like the TV above the fireplace -- becomes a focal point, we lose a prominent display area for art & it's too high up… We will be doing
copying your fireplace look (thanks!), but are now trying to decide whether the edge can be mitred finely enough to create a crisp edge. Your thoughts are welcomed :)

Can you use recycled wood as a surround for a gas fireplace? Are there safety codes?
What type of insert is this?
I absolutely love what you have done here with the fireplace and want to reface our terrible brick one and do this with reclaimed wood. I have had trouble finding the appropriate insert and dealing with the codes etc. Questions: 1). Is this gas or
burning insert? 2) Which insert is it (make & model if possible)? 3) What codes are required (i.e. distance from insert to combustible material (i.e. the wood). Thanks so much. I am really really trying to do this.
This is a gas fireplace. It was existing in the space. We removed the surround, mantle, etc and reframed and reclad the surround. Every code is different, but in Chicago you need to keep a non-comustible surface in front of the fireplace (aka, hearth). Some fireplaces also have manufacturer recommendations
