Imagine this for the up down stairs to the east house. The version shows the wall
while the people add a sense of scale and lead our eye in a certain direction. If we follow the woman moving down this stair with clear glass guardrails, we end up in the kitchen or can continue down another flight to a lower level.

Other copper sinks without the lifetime finish can be more delicate.) Our experience with them so far has been up and down: up because the finishes generally seem to last, down because the quality of the construction seems somewhat mediocre (top edges of sinks has been dented and uneven at receipt)

glass? What color glass goes with white cabinets and a dark countertop? Would the "back-painted" glass backsplash, then look good with white subway tiles in the rest of the kitchen? I'm trying to avoid grout above may stove, as I'm a messy cook, and it'll get stained! Thanks.
Fewer Upper Cabinets - This trend is also influenced by the open plan, and by more effective storage elsewhere. When walls are knocked down, there are less to hang uppers on. For many homeowners, this is totally okay, as they replace cavernous lower cabinets with functional drawers and pull-outs
I like how the counter top wraps down the side

We are going trying to combine kitchen with living room. We don't want to tear down the entire wall because it is a load bearing wall and we need to utilize the cabinet space in the kitchen on the other side. This looks kinda like what we want to do. The question is could
