Can you tell me about the red tiles on the steps?
It's a basic Saltillo Tile. The tile was not sealed before "grouting" so the tile absorbed some of the "red quarry clay" grout.

I also would love to know the color of the brick paint used here.I have a rustic red brick fireplace and would love to update it more since I live in florida. Im not really into the white brick fireplace.....I think this dark color looks
The black brick is a thin brick and you can see that at the edge. We used a light red brick for the interior of the firebox.

There may still be red tones but I really think those two stains will cover most anything that would show up. Water based poly finish is always a good idea. It keeps the golden yellow tones from showing up.
so Eutree... any idea if that will work? Ebony and Jacobean on red oak 3" planks. they are
are 20 years old. Will I still get a red cast? Maybe I wont have him use moisture cure poly and use a water based.
