bullnose edge tile is from Country Floors in NYC, the 4" x 4" counter top tile was custom made to match bullnose but was made by another tile manufacturer. Unfortunately I do not have the name of that company.

For a while, I was longing for the GE Monogram set but they are 36" wide each and who wants to spend $14K (with tax) when you can essentially get the same thing for $4 - 5K? The only kicker was that I was worried that the ice was so high in the top left corner of the freezer - I really liked the
subway tile done in a herringbone pattern.

My dilemma -- one side of my U-shaped kitchen is a curved wall -- convex at that! (the curve juts out into the kitchen.) The architect has designed several interesting shapes for the island top, adhering to the curve, but they all look very
allow for at least 42" in front of all the wall cabinets, workspaces, etc - that leaves me a space in the center to work within...
...then I consider entrances and exits from the room and allow for pathways in between.
