Bianco Carrera 1 1/4" Marble Slab Polished
love it.. Was wondering why the marble wasnt carried though on perimeter? Maybe my honey oak floors and dark island is too busy? Lastly, the granite suppliers seem to steer you away from marble but its all over houzz? Sorry so lengthy..thanks for your time!
What tile is used for the backsplash...including the herringbone design behind the stove?
The tile is a Carrara marble in various sizes for the backsplash.
The countertop perimeter is Caesarstone, color 4030H. The island is a granite, color Bianco Carrara.
robyn60091- The island looks most like a Carrara slab material (Walker Zanger calls it White Venatino) and this slab looks
on the DIY Network TV show "I hate my Bath". Our Carrara Bianco 1x2" Herringbone Mosaic Tile is $11.45 a square foot: http://www.thebuilderdepot.com/cacbiho1x2he.html Then surrounding it is a 3x6" subway Tile our is $7.50SF: http://www.thebuilderdepot.com/cacbiho3x6su.html It all looks to be honed

This look like a PRECIOUSTONE BLUE AGATE. You can find it at a granite wholesaler, due to the expense not all wholesalers will carry this product.
sconce! vA custom agate light box between the living room and bedroom catches the eye right away. Herman received pictures of the huge slab before the light box was made so he could pick which section he wanted to use for this piece. Light box: custom, Artistic Tile

outstanding kitchen. The new stove top has a built in wok. Mahogany cabinetry with unusual granite and glass slabs for backsplash as well as glass tiles by oven. Flooring is patterned limestone. One of the granite slabs was used as a table area for large family. State of the art appliances complete the
granite tabletop (tabletop height?) connected to island (counter height)

The Master Bath was not able to enlarged in the plan but we did make it more functional and beautiful. In the shower the Rain Forest granite panel was framed in the Travertine. The floor is coordinating pebbles to complete the Zen look. -Photography by Ione Victoria

I also have light oak cabinets and need help choosing a countertop. I want something light too. Not a dark granite. any suggestions? Maybe quartz?
website http://www.cambriausa.com/. I think countertops are a place to have a little fun, so I would suggest checking out quartzites and granites and going to a few local slab yards to see what is available in your area.
The backsplash is tile. It is a handmade ceramic tile from mercury mosaics. I used primarily the 2x4" field tile in the light gray color, which has a greenish tinge to it. Around the window we did a custom blend using the "stix" tile.
what is the back splash ? tile ?
floor. Something darker to give contrast to the cabinetry. I love the warmth of wood floors in the kitchen. Also, if you break a tile floor, it is hard to pull up one tile, but if you bang up a wood floor, you can always have the buffed and refinished, so they will last the lifetime of the home.
