The plants in this photo are Japanese Silver Grass, English Lavender, and Lamb's Ear.
Grass is Japanese silver grass which is drought tolerant. It may also be known as miscanthus sine sis " Mormon light"

Not if you're using artificial grass!
right grass / plant. I have 4" spacing between the concrete pieces (48"x48") and the area gets very warm, watering is not a problem, but the plant must be heat tolerant, this area gets 100'+ especially in summer. I do not know what type of climate your example is in. Can you make a suggestion?
