Hi, what grasses have been used in this shot?
It's a silly question but I want to use these grasses next to my driveway so we won't be seen from the street when we swim. The only problem that we couldn't cover that area because it is only access to septic

sideoats grass? seed grass with native grasses
Love this. Soft flowing thin grass against the flat bench.
If you love the look of grass but don't need a baseball field (most folks don't, unless you live in Iowa), consider letting your grass grow longer
Grasses. If you like the idea of grass but don't have time to mow the yard every week, ornamental grass may be a good alternative. The long, wispy blades will rustle softly in the breeze.
This bench seems perfectly situated in a field of waving grass. Afloat in a field of wispiness, the strong lines
If you love the look of grass but don't need a baseball field (most folks don't, unless you live in Iowa), consider letting your grass grow longer — or converting to native, water-sipping grasses like blue grama, buffalo and sideoats grama (just a few among many)

How did you construct these steps? Is this grass or a moss and how does it stay in place?
Do you have a special way to mow it? Or does this grass stay short?

Sample sweep grass to define landscape border at top of hill.
tall Feather Reed Grass for around
Feather reed grass for sides / back
Tall feather reed grass, 36-48" tall with 24" spread
feather reed grass...four feet high but only 2 feet wide...good for narrow spots
Distinguishing traits. Commonly described as the grass in perpetual motion, feather reed grass brings together two great architectural qualities: vertical reach and movement. The light feathery foliage ebbs and sways with any amount of wind, enabling any landscape to appear more dynamic and responsive

smaller leaves of roses and the pop of their color are striking against the softer, more free-form appearance of ornamental grasses.Try some larger grasses, like this maiden grass (Miscanthus sinensis, zones 5 to 9) or switchgrass (Panicum virgatum, zones 5 to 9), or smaller ones, like Mexican feathergrass
